Alaska Women’s Dodgeball Rules for End of Season Tournament
1.
Match time is forfeit time. The referee will start the game clock at match
time. If one team lines up and the other does not, the ref will call the game a forfeit against the team
that is not ready to play. (This will be a game forfeit only and not a match forfeit).
2.
Rosters and IDs will be checked prior to Round Robin Play and Double Elimination.
Make sure you bring your ID with you.
3.
Remember, this is a recreational league. HAVE FUN. The referees and volunteers
are there to help you. No yelling, cussing, or arguing with the ref's (one (1) warning will be given and if player/team persists
that player or team will be ejected from match play).
4.
No Pickup Players (except for shaggers). Limit of two (2) pick-up shaggers.
5.
A team may utilize four (4) shaggers only during a game. The
four shaggers at the start of the game are to remain the only shaggers until start of a new game when shaggers are rotated
with players on the court. The refs will give one warning and then will forfeit the game on the second
offense.
6.
If person on court is out, they must stand on side line in middle of court,
with first person out closest to referee (unless team has less than four shaggers, then players that are out can help shag
and until there are no more than four shaggers).
7.
Each match will be played to 18 minutes. Games will
be played in two- (2) nine minute running halves. A running clock means the clock stops only at the official’s
discretion. There will be no break between halves.
8.
In the event of a tie at the end of regulation time, one game will be played
to decide a winner.
9.
All players must have matching color jersey/shirts.
10.
You may start a tournament game with no less than three players. If
a fourth player arrives, they must wait till the start of the next game in the match to play.
11.
If the referees feel that a player is throwing at an unsafe height (standing
face height), a warning may be issued to that player. Continued high throws will result in ejection from
the game.
12. Please help your referees out by setting up the balls between games or handing the balls directly
to the refs. Do not roll the ball toward the middle so that the refs must chase them.
